Things have been quiet in the Lounge over the last couple of weeks, but the excitement is building for the freshly titled Epiphanuit: Adventures in Music™ on June 9 that will involve hopping in several cars and going down to Atlanta to see Drum n' Bass phenoms Dieselboy and Ak1200.

You should all check out Lanna's blog to see what a small group of us are getting up to in Epiphanuit Adventures in Creativity™. The whole idea there is to go out one evening to discover the extraordinary in the everyday and to (hopefully) touch people's lives in a redemptive way. So far, we're realizing that our lives are the one's being most enriched.

On Monday, for one magical evening, me, Lanna, Simon, Brent and Kylie became the Denny's Squares, welcomed inside one large Square-dancing family. We recognized that it's friendships between people -- community -- that underlie everything that redeems us, and it's the one thing most under threat in the modern world. That's one of the key spiritual battlegrounds of the 21st century as far as I'm concerned: Reconnecting with the power of communal experience as a way to change your world and other's for the better. (Sorry if that sounds fancy.)
