Dear Loungers,
Hope you're all having fun. I'm writing to announce the launch of the Epiphany Writer's Group. It's going to be a bi-weekly gathering of about 10 aspiring Christians-who-write who believe in spreading the Word in innovative, imaginative and inspiring ways. The EWG is aimed at talking about the craft of writing -- poetry, prose and drama -- as well as about challenging the assumptions behind what Christian writing is or should be. The EWG's mission is to reveal Truth and beauty and to communicate what is redemptive, transformative and ennobling about human experience.
If any of you or your friends are interested in this group, please let me know. I'm looking for at least 6 people to get this thing off the ground. I've already booked a meeting room at the Anderson County library that can hold as many as 10 for April 13 at 7:30PM. If all goes well, it will meet biweekly starting on May 11.
This is my way of following through on my commitment to extend the Epiphany Lounge™ concept to its ultimate expression. Eventually, I hope some of you will want to start discipline-specific creative work groups of your own, with or without a Christian emphasis.
